I've seen something somewhere -- in the cygwin FAQ?  in libtool?  in
AmolD's 3.0.5 port to NT? -- about doing dynamic loading of .DLLs, so in
theory it's possible, but I don't think we have any of the necessary code
in 3.1.7 yet.

Probably this is not something we should try to add in the next few days.
