Hm, true. How about 'Unless you dynamically build your prompt in
precmd(), you will need PROMPT_SUBST enabled.'?
Or: 'Depending on the way you are building your prompt you may need
PROMPT_SUBST enabled.'
Or something completely different (like dropping that sentence
altogether)?
