Ah, same for me. I was configuring with
"--enable-zsh-debug
--enable-zsh-mem --enable-zsh-mem-debug --enable-zsh-mem-warning
--enable-zsh-secure-free --enable-zsh-hash-debug --with-tcsetpgrp
--disable-multibyte"
