Sorry, I've had:
autoload() {
builtin autoload "$@"
return $?
[ "$GLOBAL_VAR2" -lt "3" ] && echo "My own autoload[$GLOBAL_VAR2] $@"
(( GLOBAL_VAR2 ++ ))
builtin autoload "$@"
}
in ~/.zshrc. It tried to autoload "autoload" when was called with -X.
