PATCH: completion updates for core Linux utils
- X-seq: zsh-workers 53326
- From: Oliver Kiddle <opk@xxxxxxx>
- To: Zsh workers <zsh-workers@xxxxxxx>
- Subject: PATCH: completion updates for core Linux utils
- Date: Sun, 26 Jan 2025 08:55:58 +0100
- Archived-at: <https://zsh.org/workers/53326>
- List-id: <zsh-workers.zsh.org>
This covers completion updates for Linux for the sort of utilities that
would be in the base OS of a normal Unix. More specifically, it covers:
procps-ng 4.0.5
util-linux 2.40.4
binutils 2.43.1
coreutils 9.6
findutils 4.10.0
iputils 20240905 (ping)
gawk 5.3.1
findmnt and lsblk have new options to list columns replacing the
inclusion of that information in the core help output so the old
completions were broken for newer util-linux and the new one's won't
work perfectly on an old system.
The change to _cmp is a bug fix rather than there being any update.
Oliver
