I was about to commit this with the change of `Sun-style' to `alternative-style' that util-linux
getopt's man page uses since the interface is based on it anyway. The -longoption originates
from V7 unix's find(1) and most likely started to proliferate with tcl(1988) and xorg(2004), the
latter even being mentioned by esr[1] as the convention's name.

Since dana commited this and the other prompt stuff were already in the original test release,
do we want to do a second test release with just this script?
