I am not in a rush to make an release, so if this renewed interest is
lighting a fire for testing new features i think its overall good.

I can't tell whom all is building zsh from git, but post announcement
https://sourceforge.net/projects/zsh/files/zsh-test/5.9.0.2-test
only has a couple of downloads, so i kinda fear the real test release
will be 5.10 (:/).

Since changing the behavior of namerefs after the fact would be a problem
as others have mentioned (or just documenting that it is experimental) I
don't mind holding on to at least get our best attempt of it.

after this release, whenever it happens, I think it would be more of an
issue.
