It's probably impossible to be 100% sure.

If the case exists, it would be from older contributors, still
contributing. I see two ways to decrease the risk:
- asking explicitly on this mailing list if someone still uses cvs
- finding the intersection of contributors from 2013 and 2025-2026, so
we have an idea of the risk level. However, some contributors will be
missed if they change to another email.

Do you think it is worth doing it or keeping the .cvsignore files is better?
